Clinical Supervision (Existential Perspectives)
Psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors working from an existential perspective often seek supervision from experienced practitioners who are specifically trained in an existential methodology. No formal training exists in Australia to qualify as existential psychotherapists, although a number of workshops exist to furnish practitioners with an existential perspective.
Clare Mann offers existential supervision to psychologists, psychotherapists and counsellors who resonate with an existential way of working. As a registered psychologist who has also trained specifically in Europe as an existential psychotherapist, Clare is skilled in assisting therapists to look at their part in co-creating their client’s story and assisting in their growth and alleviation of symptoms. Because of her extensive experience in working in several countries as a psychologist and psychotherapist, she is able to integrate a broad number of frameworks within which clients are assisted. She particularly marries Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with an existential approach, believing that the humanisation of CBT is enormously helpful in inviting clients to take responsibility for their lives by first changing their thoughts.

Clare runs a small number of group supervision sessions in the Sydney CBD. These run in 6 week blocks and commitment to a minimum of 6 weeks is essential. Her next programmes commence in November 2009 . Two sessions will be run before Christmas 2009 and will resume mid January 2010.
